The Domaine de la Poulette is a very old estate belonging to
a family whose presence in this wine area goes back at least to the
reign of the french king Louis XV.
Interestingly, for more than six generations, the vinyards have been, passed down through the
female line of our family. These women, passionate about wine have always known
how to choose valuable men to help them carry the torch of the estate.
Since 1850, you can find names such as Renevey
(Theodore Renevey, at the beginning of the 20th century created the vine Pinot which holds his name),
Joannet in Arcenant, Grivot in Vosne Romanee, and lastely, Lucien Audidier,
the father of today's owner, Francoise MICHAUT-AUDIDIER.
Lucien, member of the french Agricultural Academy, is the one who gave
the estate its current name by buying, after the last world a small company that owned the Premier Cru vinyards.
Through different status changed from one generation to the next one,
this ancient wine making knowledge has been constantly renewed,
updated and passed down to maintain the estate at a top quality level. |
