Born in a small village of Vienne, it was hard to predict that this modest boy would one become one of the Oracle of burgundy win. With an excellent diploma in his hand (INA), second of his promotion, he received a scholarship from the state for which he worked for teh next 9 years.
During the 20s and 30s, he ran the agricultural services of the Landes and loir-et-cher regions. He then spent a long time at the potasses d'Alsace,
advising ' les Graines Truffaut', and managing huge vinyards in Marcco, in Meknès. He stayed closed to the governement from little it Père Queuille to
M. jacques Chirac,where he will be the taking decisions on many subjects. Wasn't he anyway General inspector fo the Agriculture, President of teh french Agriculture Acamedy ?

In Paris, he met his wife whose family owned some vinyards in Corgoloin since the 17th century. As he arrived, the estate was in poor condition, although his father in lwa, M. Maitrot was highly educated agronomist but not that much interested in his own vinyards.During the war, Lucien Audidier bought the vinyards from the Domaine de la Poulette, to add them to the Côte de Nuits Villages from in his famiy in law. From then on the estate became one of best run estate in the region.
